In week 6, we tried to convey particular emotional moods such as joy or contemplation through our drawings of the life model.
The model would strike two emotionally diverse poses for us to draw, and I've decided to incorporate colour into my attempt of conveying mood.
The first pose was a very proud, outward, almost regal stance, and I've used red and orange pastels in combination with the charcoal to add a little more energy to the whole scene. Since the time was flying quickly with two poses in one class, I've forgo any detailed measuring - which is evident in the length of the front leg.
The second pose was a more inward, melancholic and almost sorrowful pose. The addition of the human skull made for a dramatic impact. I've used blue and purple pastels to convey the overall low mood.
